From discovery to FDA-ready platform
We partnered with Health Data Works to create Veristra, a digital platform designed to transform vascular access registration and monitoring for dialysis patients. From discovery with U.S. clinics to engineering a HIPAA-compliant system, we built a secure, scalable product that addresses real clinical workflows while meeting strict medical regulations.
Reducing Errors in Patient Access
Dialysis technicians face complex and time-consuming workflows when documenting vascular access for patients. Errors or delays can directly impact treatment quality. Health Data Works engaged us to design and build a product from scratch that would streamline access registration, ensure compliance with medical standards, and integrate seamlessly into daily clinical routines.
A secure, user-centered clinical platform
We ran discovery sessions with U.S. clinics and conducted UX research with dialysis technicians to ground the product in real-world needs. Our team designed flows, interfaces, and prototypes that balanced usability with strict regulatory requirements. On the engineering side, we set up a full technical team (PO, developers, QA, computer vision, CTO, Scrum Master) and built a scalable platform with continuous deployment, automated QA, and HIPAA compliance. The result: a secure, FDA-registered product ready for clinical use.
In the Client’s Own Words
Impact in clinics and beyond
The product achieved over 85% satisfaction in technician surveys, with a 70% improvement in the visual identification of access points and a 50% reduction in clinical documentation time. Veristra demonstrates how thoughtful product strategy, design, and engineering can deliver measurable value in healthcare—improving efficiency, compliance, and patient care.
